  3. QuickTime is currently configured to use synthesizers other than those shown above. Changing the configuration here will disable those other devices.

  5. Several synthesizers are selected. QuickTime will use higher quality synthesizers first, and use lower quality synthesizers if more notes are needed.

  7. No synthesizers are selected; QuickTime will not be able to play music tracks or MIDI files.

  9. A General MIDI synthesizer is selected. Make sure it is connected to the correct serial port, and connected to speakers.

  11. A hardware synthesizer is selected. Make sure it is connected to speakers.
  12.  
  13. A General MIDI synthesizer configured through OMS is selected. Make sure everything is properly connected.
  14.  
  15. The QuickTime Music Synthesizer is selected. For very best results, disable virtual memory and networking.
